Puppy Pendant

It began as something deeply personal- an expression of love, created during one of the most powerful moments in my life. When my first child was born, I was overwhelmed with admiration for my wife and the desire to show her how deeply she was cherished. Words alone didn't seem enough.

At the time, I was spending more and more time away from home, working hard to start a small business. I turned to what I knew best. I began experimenting with shapes, sketching, and carving, hoping to capture something meaningful.

The result was unexpected. What emerged was a stylized version of the word love – not obvious at first glance, but slowly revealed. At first, the design appears abstract, decorative, even mysterious. But look a little longer, and the letters become clear. The moment you see it, you feel it. And once seen, it cannot be unseen. That quiet realization is what makes the design special. Not just something to look at; it’s something to discover!

I originally created large, carved wooden prototypes-bold in form, intimate in intention. It was art. But it was also a message. My wife knew its meaning. And that's what mattered.

When friends and family saw it, they encouraged me to share it more widely. “Others need to see this,” they said. “This is something people can feel.” And so I began to refine the design into something smaller. Something people could wear, gift, and share. The semi symmetric, compact form that retained the power and mystery of the original. A pendant that was simple in size, but rich in meaning.

Though born from my own experience, it's for anyone who's ever felt love and wanted to express it in a way that's both beautiful and subtle. Whether it's for a partner, parent, a child, a dear friend, or simply a symbol of universal compassion, the meaning of the pendant is up to the wearer. It's deeply personal, yet universally understood.
